ABOUT ME

I'm Ruotong Ju, and you can also call me Melody. I'm an international student studying Digital Media Design at RMIT University. I'm a visual designer and video maker. When I'm working on visual effects, especially video, I think about the concept first and the technology second. I want to express what I want to convey through visuals. Regarding video production, I really like to express concepts and emotions in an abstract way. Abstract videos can often bring a stronger visual impact to the audience. At the same time, abstract video will show ideas and concepts more clearly and directly.

I'm currently working for a local city TV station. I'm responsible for remastering and posting TV shows and news on social media platforms in a more internet-friendly way. I also make themed videos and themed visuals. Outside of work I also collaborate with other artists on microfilms, participating in scripting, planning, filming and editing. Offline I also participate in local art associations and hold exhibitions with other artists.

My interest area is filming, photography and also animation, and I am trying my best to develop myself. I believe that the greatest thing in life it's to challenge oneself, and it is very important to observe the world in a different way.
